Yes, this will work with a PS5 as it's a gen 4 drive.... figured I'd save 20 people from asking.

It's QLC. NOT worth it in my experience. My last QLC NVME was a NIGHTMARE!!

If you don't know what QLC is, please look it up before buying this! Once my drive got past 50% capacity extracting files that would normally take 4 minutes started taking 45 minutes with total freezes along the way, progress saying 0mb before jumping up for a few moments then back to 0! I even had some extractions over 70 gbs fail after close to 2hrs of waiting!
ignore the read/ write speen you see here, you won't see those speeds even with premium nvmes in practical use.

If I was looking for a 4b drive and someone offered me this for free, I would literally decline. Time is of the essence in life, this is no bargain.

definately not PS5 worthy!

Getting warmer but QLC kills it. This needs to be $100.

Hmm, heat related or just bad qc ssd? 50% is not statistically where anybof this might happen. 90%+, maybe...

it was an intel 660p, still have it, (on a shelf), started clearly getting slower past 50%, at 70%, serious issues started. Unusable at 90. But I remember loading Red Dead a 120gb size at the time, when I was at maybe 30% drive capacity, 60% of the way through it started running slower than a disc drive
never again with the qlc

by the time you get into the 4th TB with this nvme here prices will so low it'll be a mistake to jump here imo

I would not buy intel or team group ssd's for a variety of reasons.. intel ssds are known exactly for what you describe.. they were never meant for a ps5....

The PS5 requires a Gen 4 drive, yes, but it ALSO requires that can do at LEAST 5500 MB/s write speed. This advertises 5000 MB/s max.

I've tried putting in a slower Gen 4 drive before and the PS5 noticed and said "it's the right drive but too slow so it won't work with PS5 games".

Buyer beware.

I saw a video where a guy used the lowest tier WD drive with like 3200 speed and it ran nearly identical to the stick drive and the fastest WD drive. Like the speed requirement doesn't even matter
