Taking 5,000IU of D3 per day will increase your blood levels by 50ng/mL and put you in the optimal range for D3 levels. As long as you are also supplementing 100mcg of K2 MK7(to avoid hypercalcemia), this dose is ideal. The recommended daily allowance of 400iu only keeps you from having symptoms from deficiency and is in no way optimal. Source: I am a medical professional.

Not a good product. Bio-Tech Pharmacal cost $6 for 100 and is made in the U.S.A. Pure cholecalciferol powder in tiny gelatin capsules. I won't buy d3 in liquid gel caps due to undesirable carrier agents, impurities and lack of effectiveness as proven to me by serum assay.
