Wouldn't that be the worst business plan ever? Giving away tickets for a movie that's going to outsell Indy?
Thanks for the free tickets! Wife and I will enjoy a nice night out.

I can think of many other reasons such as they don't want to lose money on this movie as we can see these are free tickets lol. Covid basically made movie business a bust for the last 3 years could also be a reason. Change of management in the last 3 yrs could be another reason.
The least possible reason is that Disney couldn't afford to shelf the movie like you are insinuating. Just check out their surplus and capital you will see how ridiculous that sound. You are here saying evil money hungry Disney own the media, yet claims Disney can't even properly shelf one movie they really don't want the public to see. Are you hearing yourself? Gtfo

Lol what a gullible a$$ some people can be. Believe a bunch of excuses media tells you instead questioning things yourself? Lol foolish.
Money wise they can afford to do what they want, they always do. But when actors and producers openly push to have this movie released, and ask why themselves it forces Disney's hand.
It's not Disney handing out free tickets...do a little research. And it not about money.. it's about views.. getting people in this country to see how big of a problem this is..and ask why those that run this country would rather people think otherwise. They definitely want the Epstein island thing to fade fast... this just puts it in the spotlight...and why hasn't the guest list come out?
Any movie labeled based on true story is going be embellished. Otherwise it's a documentary. And documentaries don't do well on the big screen. The point of film is to bring awareness to the problem. I for one wouldn't want to see a documentary about child sex trafficking. It would be way more unfiltered and disturbing. Unfortunately people want to be entertained while learning, so I have no problem with embellishments. If it helps make the movie more impact full, great...as long as more people see it.
With regard to charity. My only concern is how money donated is spent. Too many well known charities squander money on payroll and ceo salaries.
As far as Ballard's tactics, don't know.. not an expert in law enforcement, and not going to consider articles written by rags like Rolling Stone Magazine or NY times... or stories on CNN very credible. They have their agenda and their fan base they need to stroke.
But I do believe that charity has successfully rescued kids....AND THATS ALL MATTERS TO ME!
I doubt there's really anyone here on SD that really has the experience to make proper comments on legal tacrics of Ballard. Most doing the bashing come across as condescending elitist jerks that want people to think they are experts on everything, when all they really are is parrots citing some rag they read and worship.

Ballard pays himself over 300 thousand dollars a year of those donations as base pay. Plus his wife, sister in law, and one of his kids are on the pay roll. He's also given himself millions in bonuses. And every time he gives a speech repeating the origin necklace story he made up, 50-100 grand goes into his pocket.
You don't have to trust the media, just look at the Homeland Security and San Bernadino court records. They speak for themselves.

Interesting info.... didn't hear about that part.. almost hard to trust any charity these days.
