    While this unit lacks the mopping capabilities and the "Clean Edge" air jets to help with edge debris pickup, it does seem to have two brushes. That could be advantageous compared to the newest Shark robots which have gone to only one side brush.

    As an owner of two of these I will tell you there is a reason it's loaded with features & they have to sell them for about half what the competition does. I wanted to love mine & ignored the warnings. Man was I dumb. They are more trouble than they are worth. Randomly loses maps, throws error's frequently, jams on the smallest of things, the app is crap, support is decent but they always want to charge you $28 shipping for each part. If you buy one, you best have patience as you will be talking with support a lot. The one pro, the base actually works well.

    Wondering if this will feel like an upgrade from the roborock s4. I really would like object detection and self emptying at a reasonable price. Weary because of the poor review here though..

    I own the Roborock s4, and it's navigation, app, and battery are better than this one. However, I still picked this one up. It's a good deal at $300 and has advantages of its own. It's one of the few bagless self emptying vacuums out there, does decent at navigation, and for me the ability to handle pet hair made it a great choice. No $300 vacuum is going to be perfect. Ultimately, you can always return it if it's disappointing

    It's navigation is pretty similar to the S4 since they both have LiDAR, but perhaps a bit less intelligent. Obstacle avoidance of anything shorter than the LiDAR height doesn't work (3 or so inches). It will just bump into it like your S4. Way it handles pet hair is totally better than the S4.
