Make sure you have the latest firmware. Older versions can brick your drive eventually. I just had mine die and I'm waiting for an RMA from Samsung. Only had 119TBW when it write locked itself.

Samsung has not been very reliable lately. Both the 990 pro and 980 pro were affected by separate firmware issues. And some reported issues with 970 Evo+ as well.
