This is a discontinued/clearance model at Best Buy. The "invite only" deal on here for Prime day is the latest model. Still a decent deal in my opinion especially if you just need a TV for the garage/workshop/patio/etc.

I'm starting to think the $100 40" amazon tv raffle is a ploy...

So glad you responded before I saw this thread. I was curious on the difference immediately but really didn't want to look up a bunch of TV info on the two to find out why this was so cheap compared to the Amazon invite one.
Just picked one up. Not sure everyone else thinking but to me it's worth every penny. For $150 you can't go wrong or ask for more. Pic quality is very acceptable if not very very good. Sound is just ok but I have never had a TV with good sound and I own a newer 77 OLED.

The Sony Bravia and other Sony televisions with speakers in the screen are the only flat screens I have had that don't need a sound bar.
And I've had LG, Samsungs, and a bunch of cheaper brands.

Same, I'm seeing a lot of 40-45" 4K TV's on sale in various stores, and I'm glad you cleared it up.
It'll be sluggish. The input is fair, but the response time is slow. Going to have lots of blur/ghosting. I feel like this is a decent TV for media consumption or for a kid/teen/young adult. If you work a job invest in some quality for yourself. Plenty of solid monitors out there.
I bought this on the 4th. For $150 i can't complain coming from a a 32" 1080p tv. Seeing real 4k for the first time made me happy in a way only a few experiences of tech have done. Money well spent.

Saw this at Best Buy convinced I was going to buy it, but I couldn't pull the trigger. It looked like the worst 43 inch TV in the entire store. It paled (literally and figuratively) in comparison to every other 43 inch and had horrible viewing angles. Even at $150 it was a no go.
