Just a heads up to anyone considering this, the Sync module has much slower access speeds than their subscription service. I personally believe it's throttled to encourage people to use the subscription, and I've seen others share this opinion. I have a high speed USB plugged into the sync module, which is nearly adjacent to my router, and it's about 70% slower than connecting to the cameras via the subscription service. Very shady.

i got the refurb ones off of woot and they looked pretty new. even came with new batteries. if you're looking to pinch more pennies i'd go for that for $60 for the 2 pack. each come with an extra sync module too, i used it since i put some cameras way out of range of the initial sync module

When I signed up a while back it was only for 30 days anyway. The first thing I did was turn that off because I just wanted my footage local only. "Local only" lol

It apparently ended for any account made after Sept 2020(or 2021?) I had no idea either I was going to buy one for my mom at her home as I boasted about free storage but now, no way!

You sure you can still get free cloud with xt2? I have a 3-cam plus sync module set but never got free cloud unfortunately
