Don't make eye contact.
Got one of those in store during Memorial Day. It holds a ton of drinks and keeps them cold for days. I had it outside for 3 days in GA heat, and there was still ice in it at the beginning of the 3rd day. I'd definitely recommend at this price.
Actual reviews do not agree with your "visual assessment" of the insulation.

At the very least, this will make a good patio side table and bottle opener. $50 seems worth it just for this.

4.9 stars and one of the reviewers paid $140 for this so this is definitely a slick deal.

Pro: it's big.

Cons: no wheels, so this pretty much stays put. Looks like a galvanized planter with a bare minimum on insulation, doubt it will keep drinks cold for long.

$50 seems okay if you need something in a rush and didn't plan ahead to shop around for something better. $100 is an utter joke.
This is a party cooler, keeps a-lot for a couple hours. 50 bucks is slick.

Keep ice on it. Add salt to make it colder

Put wheels on it and hot glue pool noodles around it. Not only will it roll and keep beers cold but it also floats! 🛟

That's crazy. I think I'm looking at this exact cooler across the street in my neighbor's driveway right now.

Bought this a few weeks back and still in the box. I have no idea what I paid and think it was on sale, but don't think it was half off. Anyone have any idea what recent cost was?

I think it's $59 @ the Costco store.

I think it is worth it even if you use it as a planter itself.
