I've had multiple sets of tires installed at Costco. Never had any problems with damage to my car or rims.

If you did experience any problems, I'm sure Costco would make it right.

This is a great deal.
I love Costco for tires. I've never had an issue, and their replacement/warranty is spot on. I'm not a car guy, and one of my favorite things about Costco tires is Costco has a certain level of product quality, so no matter what tire you get, you are essentially guaranteed a quality tire. Takes the stress out of tire shopping for me.

I don't think the level of hate for Costco tires is warranted here (I've purchased 4 sets from them over the years).
From what I saw, the $80 installation fee is added but then they take away the $120 off so it's a net $40 discount on four tires.

Same concern that I have. Currently debating if this is worth it.

My car is a 2022 and they still force you to get the TPMS service packs. In my 2 locations their installers look like they hired them from the most wanted list..... On the other hand their warranty is (or used to be) the best. You go in with a bad tire and leave with a new one for free, that may have changed.
What do you mean by "a bad tire"? Because it's not like that for a flat that can't be repaired (not sure ours ever been, but maybe). I went in with a tour that had a nail too close to the side so couldn't be patched, had to get a new tire. They prorated it, was about 3 to 6 months after initial install and cost me about $60 or $90 (can't remember exactly). You end up paying prorated amount off regular price since no sales on single tires and you need to pay for install.

It's today only...

When they install the sensor kits they remove the sensor, don't clean the rim and then don't use the proper torque tool, they just crank down on the rubber seal. Most places don't force you to purchase them. The bigger issue is that many installers don't clean the rim where the weights go and just stick them over the dirt on the wheel. Go to a good car wash before hand and don't get the wax applied, it's the least you can do. I clean them myself and remove all the weights first....not easy.

Man, I have had nothing but good experiences from Costco with multiple sets of tires. The only downside is how busy they usually are.

In for a set of Michelin Cross climate 2's for my Odyssey van (19" tires) Total price after install and tax was $950 or so (6.25%tax).

I've used a lot of tire places over the years, and it always seems to come down to the actual technician working on your car. I've had mishaps from Town Fair tire (but I still like them a lot, and they really try to make things right when they mess up), from the Honda dealer and from National Tire and Battery. It's a crap shoot. I've never had a problem with the tires feeling like they're coming off, so that's the big thing for me.

I've never had Costco install, but I'm hoping it will be fine.

They've done a great job on my X5M and I would have bought a set of 4 for my restomod c10 but they are STILL showing out of stock on Michelin PS all season 4's which are readily available elsewhere.
