Great deal on a great router. Probably the last quad band 6E from one of the big brands; they all announced WiFi 7 routers that will be released later this year.

I replaced my Asus GT-AX11000 after it capped out with 45+ devices. The AXE300 runs like a champ and has further 2.4GHz range. I do not like that they charge for their HomeShield or whatever extra features, but I can do without those anyway.

I lost my tp link ax11000 to a storm last week, I was happy with its performance so I hope this will be a good replacement .

DongKnows.com suggests avoiding eero due to privacy concerns, but if you don't mind those then it depends on the size of your home. The AXE300 blankets our 3,000sqft house well, but we go down to 1/3rd signal in the far corners. Mesh would give you better coverage but not necessarily better speed. If you don't need 6E (most don't), then eero is an OK bet.

Been running the AX6000 for about a year and a half and have had ZERO issues with it. I mean I have not ever had to even restart the thing like I would have to every few weeks/months on other routers. I am tempted to jump on this but my AX6000 is so rock solid its hard to change. I also love the 8 LAN ports that I have opposed to the 4 on this model. Never had a TP Link prior to my current router (used mostly ASUS and Linksys prior), but I will be buying one for my next after my great experience.

I'd avoid due to the ventless design which causes them to get hot and the performance to vary because of that. They remind me of the first gen deco M5's, a good idea but product cooling was not good.

Also TP-Link has WiFi 7 products out already though expensive and the tech is not really certified yet/buggy. I suspect poor sales/new hardware soon is dropping prices on these.

Wait! Didn't tp link change their security so now you have ti pay monthly for it? I know my router the 5400 doesn't need it but my parents got the three hub deco thing and it prompted a subscription for firewall, etc, everything my 5400 has for free...

This is a great 6E router but for a huge majority you're better off waiting for WiFi 7 routers at $300 in a year or two.

I've strayed away from consumer and into enterprise used network gear for the past decade, but this one has my attention.

An sfp+ port on a consumer router... I haven't seen that before. The throughput on this is impressive too.

I've only got 100mps available at my current location and am updating a service provider modem/WAP that's been used in conjunction with a WRT1900AC. My goal is to spread the wifi signal in my house, since most of my primary systems are run via LAN, I'm struggling with streaming in places like my garage due to insulation between it and HVAC space. Any suggestions by anyone here in the community for a reputable/dependable mesh or multi access point system I might be able to get in order to see a stronger and faster signal? Thanks in advance.
