I fear that those who are going to slobber over this one on Slickdeals are the 1%, and may try to convince the 99% that this is "future proofing". In reality, this is overboard. There's a saying in life that you should always start out slow with stuff you don't know. A 10Gb W/L port??? Realistically, nobody is truly going to use that in a residential setting unless you have a very special ISP. This to me is the definition of waste.
For those who want a more "sensible" TP Link router, on Costco they usually have the AX5300 on sale. Biggest knock is the lack of 2.5Gb W/L ports (which, again, is pure future proofing as many homes don't even utilize a 1Gb port due to connection speeds), but its coverage is amazing.
If you are a person who requires parental controls, TP Link is not your friend, as it is paywalled.
