YMMV but I had one brown spaceman pop up out of 3 of these random boxes.

Lots of reviews claiming duplicates in a single box and between boxes (eg same set of 6 between 2 purchases), the latter of which seems more common. $22 seems like a bit much for potentially 5 duplicates in one box, as one reviewer claimed.

I bought last week and this exact situation happened to me. I bought two boxes and it was the same six in both boxes. I know it's always a gamble, so I tried not to be bothered by it.

In the more recent series, six packs *usually* have half of the figures, and a random (50/50 odds) second six-pack may have the other half or the same half...but sometimes they have a duplicate in the same box. I'd say buying 3 give you good odds, but if that figure is all you'd like, you'll save the most by buying that figure on Bricklink or eBay.

If you can wait a few weeks, but a complete set on Bricklink from overseas. Due to pricing and exchange rates you can get some great deals. Some sellers open and reseal the bags, but others do it by feel if you like to be surprised (the listing should tell you). I paid around $80 shipped for a complete set of all 18

Same here, mine came from Hong Kong. I got the Muppets set from Germany because the figures there are only 4 Euro, and back then it was less than $4 a figure. The Germany seller also added a tiny bag of Haribo gummy bears.
