That's not even remotely true. I watch mine all the time especially if it's raining or I hear weird noises outside. What does suck is if you don't have the subscription, you don't get any longer than 5min to watch live and you have to keep clicking continue.

Can only "view" camera feed on the doorbell with it being rung or motion detected. Unlike Blink cameras where you can view it live whenever you want. Great price at $30 though if you already have a blink system to add it to and don't need the sync module

Anyone comment on it's integration through various ways with home assistant? Particularly the wireless version?

Does adding this to a free grandfathered cloud plan remove you from free cloud? I heard some stories about this happening.

It does not. You keep your grandfathered plan. I recently added the doorbell to my plan and know many others as well and no issues.

I have 6 grandfathered xt and xt2 cameras (original sync modules) and I was not able to add any new non legacy cameras to it. I get a pop-up saying I had to subscribe to a cloud plan after the 30 day trial. I still like my xt/xt2 cameras.

Blink sucks. 5 seconds latency makes it useless for door bell video/audio communication

I get constant static noise on my wired blink doorbell, Amazon doesn't have a solution for me. I prefer Ring better.

I recently added a new Blink Outdoor system as second sync module and a wired floodlight to my account and had no issues. It just said welcome old user, you still have free cloud storage as an OG account.

I believe the delay is caused when they are operating on a battery. For the wired doorbells the notification is near instantaneous and the camera feed comes up on the iphone pretty fast too. Delays can be caused by a lot of factors including your network strength and the processor on the consuming device.

battery is not the reason for latency.. their system's problem causes problem.
network latency cannot reach in "seconds" level , it only in "millisecond".
If you even tried to use Blink cameras for intercom, you will be big disappointed ..4~5 second latency on my at&t fiber network (to AWS with 10 ms latency) .
Blink ring bell camera is among the worst latency compares with Ring or Wyze and others

I recently bought the $80 Eufy Video Doorbell 2E system. I like it so far. Can anyone recommend one or the other? Should I keep my Eufy or switch to Blink and save $30? Thanks!

Price not bad but I've had this unit a little over a year and on my 3rd one. First one battery died fast every few weeks. Ordered a second one it started having motion issues Talked to Tech and they remote logged in and troubleshot well after they were done motion still didn't work and it would not connect to my Wi-Fi so they sent a 3rd one right out the box the 3rd one was having issues so I gave up on them .
