About a computer I never received.

The most glaring problem is that it seems to shutdown/turn off when under some heavy load. If you do a search on google you will find similar results, it seems to also affect other Minisforum models as well such as the NPB7. This I blame on the inefficient cooling design that let the cpu reach the temp limit and caused the shutdown/turn off.
If you're thinking of getting this one, I recommend getting a mini pc cooler to go along with it. I had mine on one and yesterday it was able to pass a stress test. I'm still testing with different coolers.

I opted for the NAB6 (this one). A few things. If you buy the barebones you do not get the SSD cooler nor Win 11 pro, you will need to source them yourself. I opted for passive SSD heatsink but its sketch. The way the cooling is from the bottom, so there is no topside airflow so your SSD (right next to wifi) will both boil. There is a 4 pin m.2 power header for SSD cooler. The RAM and SSD they use are NZW cheapo (from other MF I own). I would just get the min SSD and toss it the RAM is OK. Beelink uses legit RAM and SSD.
The BIOS on this is really limited so no tuning, and I am not sure if they will ever issue updates.
Also I had a heck of a time w/ the Mediatek BT/Wifi w/ driver issues. I updated it w/ an Intel AX210 no issues now. My interactions w/ support on this were less than satisfying as they kept asking me to put new drivers on there I said yes at BT was still buggy and they kept asking the same stupid questions on what was the issue. So it was a black hole into nowhere. So be aware they use a very non-standard BT/wifi module. The 2.5 are Intel which is great, not sure why they didn't spend the $2 for Intel wifi/BT.
HTH I am happy with this -- this is just as fast as my Mac mini m2 pro which cost 3x in rendering and it handles 3 screens (2 4k, 1 2k) without a hitch. I have transcoded for days no issues w/ shutdowns so maybe there are different revs that we don't know about. The fan is loud an unpleasant under load (unlike a mac mini), so I would say the acoustics wrt to cooling is it's weakest point.
On idle this thing is in 20-23W under moderate load mid 30s so it's decently efficient for such a powerful device.

(Not all systems accept XTU, it depends on the PCH implementation.)
Thanks for posting that. I had a 3500U MF mini pc a couple years ago that was absolutely ridiculously loud and I had to return it. I won't make that mistake twice.

And their drivers page for those who are not aware: https://www.minisforum.
I had issues with TH50 drivers on a fresh win11 enterprise install, so ended up extracting the 3rd party drivers from their TH50 win11 ISO, and those worked perfectly.
Minisforum apparently released an BIOS update that supposedly reduced the power draw.
Minisforum are a shitshow, start to finish.

As for MinisForum, I would recommend emailing them to make sure they have the item in stock before paying. I purchased another PC with a Ryzen 5600U processor and paid in May. I didn't get the PC until 07/07/23. I emailed them many times and they would say they just got it in stock and will ship in 2-3 days...this lie kept going on for 1 month. After demanding a refund for the 2nd time and threatening to ask Paypal to intervene did the PC finally ship last week. I would not recommend buying from them because of their business practice of pay them now and get your product whenever they can ship it out. I have a feeling the PCs I purchased won't have any future BIOS updates.
