If it had speakers too and can listen to commands, then I would be all for it. Hate having separate devices. All in one is ideal imo.

You can turn tap feature off in Alexa app. My kids have enjoyed it as a nightlight and I have it setup via routines to auto kick off during bed time, turn off automatically in the morning, etc. could do a lot worse for $17 imo

Yes, you can, but it increases with every tap if you want to change colors, annoying

I got mine on woot for 12 refurbed, but my kids like to change the color by tapping, I haven't given them an echo in the room to control it. I do have a routine set but they change it all the time. Every scenario is different, for ours it's not working out.

This also has the lowest brightness of all the different smart bulbs I've experimented with. Perfect if you want to setup as a night light, especially with all the automation and customizations

We keep this in the main hallway and it's a great little nightlight. Really like the underwater effect. Planning on putting it my daughters room when she is born.
Not the most thrilling product but I got one for like $10 and for that, it's a great little smart light/nightlight.

The speaker might interfere the light. Imagine you have speaker at blasting, the light probably be vibrating.
