Should I go for this one or this one from crucial at a higher price? Crucial RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Laptop Memory CT2K16G4SFRA32A https://a.co/d/eO1fDuT

If it's me, I pay buy the cheap one. They don't make big difference

Agreed, The specs are important but I've never actually had a memory module go bad, You generally will upgrade the computer before they stop working. I've had some that are DOA, but they're easy to swap out if you buy from Amazon. I generally buy whatever the cheapest is that has the highest specs my model will support

Agree with the comments above. Buy the fastest speed at the best price from a name brand company.
I bought the G.Skill 32gb / 2x 16gb sticks 3200mhz for 54.99 from Newegg and it turned out they were single rank instead of dual rank. Seems most sticks that are not 32gb single sticks or higher are single rank now.
So cheapest, fastest, from a name brand. Just match your systems speed.

I'm a fan of crucial, but I've bought team group memory multiple times in the past and it's always performed very well. I'd go with this deal.
I'm reading this is single rank, so not ideal. Will be a few % slower on some stuff vs dual rank, including gaming (when using 2 dimms).
Isn't single rank better for energy consumption and heat? I guess dual rank for top ram performance and single rank if your needs are more for battery life heat reduction. Maybe this is not correct though and it's not a big difference.

That's possible but I'm not sure. I think for the hardcore users timings can be tighter in single rank but it still won't match dual rank. If you are using 4 sticks then single rank is optimal. It's not a massive impact though.

China boycotted Micron so I'd go with Micron over TG. Micron warranty would be better when you have a failure in 10 years if it matters.
Taiwan China not CCP China. I've bought TG before, so it's an amazing deal TBH.

I have seen exactly two memory modules go bad in my life. But then again I used to be a system builder back in the day. One was a module out of a personal laptop though. That said, both of these brands are good. Never had any bad modules from Crucial or Team Group.
I would have a preference for dual rank modules if there is a way to tell before ordering. They perform a bit better, which is why I sourced a pair of 16GB dual rank DDR4 3200 modules when I was upgrading my Legion 5. If you can't tell, get whichever is cheaper.

In single rank there are 2models
1rx16 which is not that good and 1rx8 which is better.
I check them based on no. of chips on board, 4 (1rx16) is bad 8 is good enough (1rx8)16 is (2rx8) better(same for all capacity)
