This is a fun toy but $40 on sale is ridiculous.

You can buy a Crosman Vigilante for a little more and have a pellet pistol and bug salt gun.

Been killing black widows with mine. Make sure you get the salt that's made for this gun, makes a huge difference compared to regular table salt.

I have a few of them, original ones bought at Sams club for maybe $12 each. Then last year Lowes had the 2.5 version with laser. They went on clearance for $8 each, so got a few. Overall, a great outdoor item to have. lol

I picked up the one with the fiber optic sights on a similar sale for Memorial Day with a bag of their salt so I could get free shipping, and let me tell ya - it's been very handy for these huge horse flies that slip through my back porch screen. Its also handy for little groups of gnats. It's just a lot of fun and doesn't leave a mess like you would think it would. Very goofy and very fun. Highly recommend it. Would only pick up when it's on sale though.

I picked up a refurb on their eBay store a year ago for a laugh and have used it 10x more than I ever expected. Yeah its fun and satisfying and there are a couple of little tricks and things to do for enjoyment, but it's the ability to clear the room of flies that actually matters to me.

Maybe I just hate flies inside my house more than a normal person, but I now consider this an indispensable household tool.

Definitely a recommended tool to have around the house but shooting distance is very short, in my case, I have to be within 1 feet to be effective.
