I would be careful cheaping out on anything that's ingested or that can be absorbed into your bloodstream. I'm sure a good number of these products are safe but the potential risk is not worth the couple dollars saved.

I would not use a Chinese knock off charcoal toothbrush. Charcoal damages enamel, with more damage if the particles are too large or uneven. I trust Oral B to take this into account in their manufacturing process but not a random Chinese seller

Except Oral B is going to have some level of quality control and liability. They're not going to risk trashing their name by sending out a bunch of toxic items that people put in their mouths, especially when you consider the massive insurance claim/lawsuits that could result by sending out an unsafe product. Meanwhile a Chinese knockoff is unlikely to care as much.

It all goes back to "don't cheap out on things you're going to ingest"

is it possible to get the EXACT same product from a Chinese knockoff, yes. Is your health worth saving $7 here? Most people will answer no.

I literally can't think of a dumber thing to cheap out on than something you literally put inside yourself.

There's a Chinese knockoff of the same head, EIGHT count for $7 as well.

I'm gonna give that one a shot over these.

Reviews seem to suggest it is not charcoal infused like the Oral B.

I always use the generic regular one. They last the same time but 1/5 the price. Idk if charcoal is any better tho. Sounds like a gimmick. There are dentist debunk charcoal tooth brush on TikTok and YouTube

Charcoal toothpaste at least is generally a waste of your money. If it doesn't have fluoride in it, don't bother.

I want fluoride out. Too much of it is a bad thing and it's a general waste of your money buying more of it, that is not already pushed down our throats.

Where do you think these official ones are made?

Or just get the knockoff regular ones. How much can they mess them up? I see BJ's has their brand for much less, so I guess I sorta trust them. I'm not putting unnecessary abrasives in my mouth. My dentist laughs they just give me free oral-b and floss every cleanup I haven't spent a dime on floss or toothbrushes for 10 years.

It never ceases to amaze me what new feature they will come up to sell a 20c head for $3.

Current users, do you like this charcoal brush and find it beneficial? Thanks for the input. Also I assume this is medium firmness?
