Before the inevitable questions which someone will inevitably ask again:

1. They are rated for 15 amps.
2. No, they don't have energy monitoring.
3. No, they don't work with Apple Home, or HomeKit or whatever Apple is calling it these days. '
4. Yes, they work with Home Assistant, and maybe others, but I only use Home Assistant.

These are pretty hard to beat for only $6.67 per plug - great for:

1. Holiday lighting
2. Power cycling devices plugged in to them, like network devices or smart home hubs that lose connectivity.
3. Vacation random mode to click lights on and off to make it look like you're home.

These are a great "gateway drug" smart home entry level product.

Have they been cheaper or will they be cheaper on Prime Day? Who knows.

You too can be part of the fire sale of non-matter devices that will lose all support in a year or two.

I have 8-12 of these in my house, depending on season, and have literally never had this issue.

Depending on the router, you may have to tweak some settings in the router. I had similar issue with Unifi randomly disconnecting.

I have several other brands with no issues.. these are nothing but headaches in my case. Go read the 1 star reviews, exactly what I am experiencing constant disconnects.

Like any smart plugs, test them well in the return period to ensure they work in your situation

All my kasa products have been rock solid. I must have 40 of their products. They don't require anything just the app, which is really good. No microphones in them, none of that spyware. Love them.

I wholeheartedly recommend the Sonoff S31 smart plugs [amazon.com] over these. They're only $7.88 ($6.33 two weeks ago), support power monitoring, and are no-solder flashable [lukeknipe.com] to Tasmota and ESPHome.

I actually have better experience with these than the Amazon's ones. Got my for $5 each a couple years ago so 3 for $20 seem right with inflation.

I've been running a number of these for years without any issues at all. Control via Alexa/echo or the kasa app. Very reliable.

This one is not, but they also have the 4pk with energy monitoring on sale with a $10 off coupon if you choose Amazon as seller. You may stack that with reward redeeming discount offers. I got the EP25P4 for $31.5 plus tax.
