I made a similar build on pcpartsbuilder and it costs $1,306, which is $56 more than this pc: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kghqLs
This is a great deal for those who need a higher end pc and live near a MicroCenter.
Congratulations 👏 You lost about 25%+ fps. Good for you for wanting less performance.
The card itself uses 335W. For this system the total power draw is probably around 550-600W. So 750W is plenty.

The recommendations for PSU ratings are for the total system power needs. The card makers will recommend a high value to cover any possible system configuration such as high power CPU and lots of memory etc. They do that with lots of margin to make sure its safe for people who don't know their power usage and blindly throw a high power card into a system with other high power devices (CPU, memory etc).
As long as the total system requirements are less than the PSU rating (with margin) then you're fine.

This looks pretty nice.
I'd expect this to be a little power house of a gaming PC well worth the $1250.

Good deal on paper but how is it going to run 6950xt with 750W PSU when AMD recommends minimum 850W... https://www.amd.com/en/products/g...rx-6950-xt [amd.com]

Well, all max rating below:
6950XT is rated 335 watts
5800x3d is rated 142 watts
Assuming Mother board at 100 watts
This still leaves 173 watts for fans ssd and cooling.
This should be fine.

I was considering between this one vs 12700k with 4070 combo( both are the same price). I went with 4070 ( 12700k samsung evo 2tb, nzxt gold850 w power, lianli rgb case)- this 4070 is so cool(temp 40-50 for ultra settings overwatch play plus 200watts consumption.)

Good deal if you're near by a MC. I can knock down a other $60 or so by going with 16GB of RAM $30, $10 cheaper with the 1TB SP A60 MVME, $80 B550 MOBO. But I'll keep it as is with the better parts: mobo, 32GB RAM is cheap, mp34 is slightly better w/DRAM.

Not if you want to play the latest games with Ray Tracing. Cyberpunk and it's expansion look great with path tracing. Portal remake looks phenomenal. And almost all upcoming Unreal Engine 5 games while use some form of Ray Tracing for lumin. So if you're buying a system at all for the future, this is something you have to consider.
