These are a neat tool to have. Yes they are an impact driver not an angled drill driver so they have great power. Takes a bit to get used to but worth investment IMO. I have the Milwaukee M12 version and it works great! You can use this as a drill also but your need 1/4" shank bits like the ones you would use in a regular impact to drill with.
