It's such an amazing series but yes of course seasons 7-8 ugh. The attention to detail for the characters and world was completely lost.

So crazy to me the cult following this show had. I remember when one of the main characters died back in like season 3 or 4 and EVERYONE was talking about it for the whole year break. Then the 2 year break for the last season people were hyped.

Then it ended and everyone has forgotten it.

The first four seasons are still great television and then it starts heavily declining, finally hitting mediocrity by its final season.

Somewhat like another great serialized television series, Lost.

Doubtful as the digital code is no longer included in the retail set. There's a small possibility that amazon sends older inventory that has the digital included but more than likely you will not get it. Warner loves to drop the inclusion of digital codes from boxed movies/tv shows.
