I like vinyl, and I never talk about it unless someone asks about my collection, which is rare unless I'm showing someone around my house. I like to put a record on, sit down with it, and enjoy it fully with no distractions. I'm sure you enjoy things that aren't 100% optimized for 2023, so who are you to judge? And if you don't, maybe you should try something out.

Can listen to this right now on phone. Lossless rip. From the original CD, how it was released back in the day. Don't see this being beneficial other than a niche product. All albums in general. But to each their own.
I ordered this same album about 7 months ago. It was out of stock and Amazon ended up canceling the order after 60 days. We'll see how it goes this time.

You're saying people that collect and listen to vinyl should just listen to music on their phone? I bet they haven't though of that before. You should share this brilliant opinion as frequently and with as many people as possible.

Vinyl fell out of fashion for several important reasons; if young people today need to spend thousands of dollars to ReDiscover those reasons, that's on them. Vinyl today is mostly so that people can loudly tell other people they listen to vinyl.
Nah, I'm 40 and just got back into vinyl. The sound quality is fantastic, very rich. I just enjoy putting on a record while I'm doing other stuff.

Sorry; but there's simply no reason for vinyl other than yelling that vinyl is superior even though it is not. Vinyls only use is getting high as shit and watching a colored thing rotate.

Those issues are actually worse on modern vinyl. I have had more bad pressings now than I ever did in the 80's. That said though, it is a fun format and I do enjoy vinyl at these kinds of prices. Vinyl mostly sounds better than CDs because they did such a bad job of mastering them in the late 90s and 2000s. That is on the record industry more than the CD. CDs can and should sound great.
