Yes, it is very thin. I have a set all 3 sizes. The dimensions for 28'" seems oversized based on the airlines.

The common airline maximum standard is 62 linear inches (length+width+height) not including wheels. The description measurements just barely make it under. Probably too close to risk getting charged overage fees.

Including wheels usually applies to carry on. Check in luggage usually is more weigh emphasized. In my experience, I've never seen a ticket agent bring out a tape measure.

A friend of mine pulled the top handle and it cracked hard. Had to get duct tape. Then again, her stuff was 63lbs so....

It's not meant to go above 55lbs...
