You skipped an OS again, so that's now $121 more than this Legion.

I don't think anyone is arguing that building your own is better and usually cheaper but it's not for everyone, sorry if that is so offensive to you?
I think so too. Waiting for the peanut gallery's comments before pulling the trigger.

I'm sure "yOu CaN bUilD 4 lEsS" is 1-2 comments away (this person will assume you already have 1/2 of the components and OS laying around though).
I may be in the minority here but I need a copy of Windows, so your build ends up being $68 more than this Lenovo. No one ever includes Windows in their builds.

Is it worth it, probably but some of us need Windows and don't like sketchy key sites.

Off topic, but how do you clone every week? Sounds like a great idea…
hi,

I have an ASUS ROG STRIX external NVMe enclosure,
I have an identical NVMe in the enclosure to the NVMe in my desktop computer
I plug it into my computer once per week.
I run Macrium Reflect to clone my PC drive to the external drive

I do the same thing with my laptop too, with a different backup drive.

It's a bit of overkill, but If I have any drive problems, OS problems, software problems, Malware or Ransomware, I just have to put in the backup drive and I'm only 1-week in the past.

I also have a different external SSD drive that I will use to backup just my data once or twice a week if I'm doing anything extra important. ( I keep my OS and data on 2 separate partitions so it is very easy to just backup 1 or the other or both )

I bought this computer and it was delivered yesterday. I've had nothing but problems trying to get the Sims 4 to run. It would run at most for 15 minutes, then I get a black screen like no signal is going to the monitor. I've tried so many fixes for it, making sure the video card drivers were up to date and even tested older versions of the drivers, made sure windows was up to date, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, using window mode on the game, I tried to manually add the graphic card since it said it was an unknown video card to the GraphicsCards.sgr manually but that caused the game to not load at all, I also tried a monitor going through the display port of the video card and then a different monitor using HDMI and both will have the issue. I did hear an electrical noise, like a zzittzz, the first time before it went out, so I'm leaning that this may be more of a hardware issue like a short on the PSU and it not giving enough power to the card when demand kicks up. I'm at my wits end on this and about to return it to the store. I haven't tried any other games yet as I really only play Sims, if anyone has any suggestions that would be great, otherwise it goes back on Monday.

As someone who just built their own PC with a Chinese X99 mobo w/ a xeon e5-2697 v4 (18C/32T) with 64GB ram for $170 I have to say, getting a prebuild is hugely beneficial still. So many costs you don't think about if building from scratch like making sure you have the right heatsink mounts, quality fans, power supply that will push these ridiculously power hungry new GPUs and oh yes my favorite, will the heatsink be too big for my ram sticks? All shit you don't have to worry about with a prebuild.
Do you have the list and locations where I could find the same parts to build a PC around that price?

Need advice pls:
Purchased this one for lower price and looks like decent specs for the price but open to advice I order this but I can still cancel I think: ( PS I realize it is renewed and I'm hoping that means that it will be reliable, and has 90 days return policy to give it a good check out. I'm not a gamer just looking for decent quality laptop for the price)
