I have this. It's super nice. But like every other toaster oven, it gets dirty quick. And it's almost impossible to clean the stuck grime

Would you recommend the 2 basket Ninja instead?

I bought one of these from Costco and I gotta say the air fryer function is not nearly as good as the no name air fryers I've had in the past (from Amazon). Food just doesn't come out as crispy or toasty in this thing for some reason. It'll heat up your food but just don't expect super crispy food. Either that or the one I have is defective. Just thought I'd share. Others have reported that the labels for the buttons fade off over time. I haven't had that problem in the year or almost a year I've had it.

Accurate with my unit as well. Large capacity but crisp is not as good as basket style or the instant pot omni.

Pros are large capacity, even two level cooking and no need to flip

I bought this in July of 2021 and I have really enjoyed it.

The previous comment about it getting dirty quickly, like all toaster ovens is exactly right. I would use it even more were it not for that.

I have had good luck with the air frying. I apply a little oil on whatever I am cooking and it gets it nice and crispy. I have not has as good of look when I have tried battered food. But I tend to stay away from putting batter on my food when I am air frying because I am usually trying to cut down on calories. It might work well on battered items with practice but I have not tried much. And, in my limited experience it does ok with a batter but not as good as deep fried.

I have used the dehydrator more that I thought I would. It works well. One of the things I make occasionally is dog treats. When liver or something goes on sale for a good price I will buy some and then prepare it on a nice day when I can open the windows and leave the house all day. I don't like the smell but the dog loves the results. It does great on broccoli. I have also had success with berries and other items. I planted mint this year and it is coming along nicely so I plan on trying that soon.

I mainly use it for baking instead of the oven. It works well for most items.

(I am a single guy and I do not bake or make fancy things so your mileage may vary. But for cooking fish, cooking fries, warming up left overs, or baking basic dishes such as lasagna it does well. I have not tried it for deserts or advanced items.)

I have the smaller one and the size is great but agree that it doesn't crisp up as nicely as my last 3 basket-style ones. We've decided to use our Ninja until it dies and then go back to our old basket-style one. This fits more but also takes up quite a bit more counterspace. Basket-style ones can be big too but not nearly as wide.

At what point does it stop becoming an air fryer and become a convection oven? Because I'm looking at a convection oven.

How does this compare to the Breville that is $400 that people usually recommend? I'm willing to pay more if the Breville is much better, but if not then obviously $200 is nice savings.

I've had this for about 3 years with no issues at all and love it. I usually use the flat pan with tin foil on it for easy cleanup but to get the best crisp, use either the grate or the bacon pan. I've had 0 issues the whole time but my inlaws had a few buttons fade away within a few months (still works fine).

My only guess is they cook alot of oily foods and then touch it. Overall would 100% recommend this but this is not an all time low price. I paid less from kohls after discounts and kohls cash and I remember BBB having it cheaper as well

Looks like a mini, glass dryer.

This is definitely more of a high quality convection oven/toaster oven, which is not far off from an air fryer, but this form factor will definitely never be as good at air frying as a bucket-style air fryer.

That said, if you were going to get a toaster oven anyway, might as well get an air fryer style one. We've lived in our new house for 2 years now and not once have I personally used our gas oven to cook anything (I'm not the baker in the family).

We actually started with a bucket style air fryer (we love the Ninja XL), but almost always only use our toaster oven one (ours is a cheapo Chefman Air Fryer) because it's more versatile to fit stuff in there (pizzas, multiple layers, etc), so we only use the bucket fryer when crispness and speed is very high priority.

As others have said, these ovens are a pain to clean, versus the bucket fryers, many of which have baskets that can go in the dishwasher.

I'm a little more forgiving of our cheap oven one being dirty, I feel like I'd spend a lot more time scrubbing if I got a fancy one.
