This is a very good price. My brother budged in and bought the dell deal but this would have been more in his budget.

Any owners able to comment on ghosting (black smear)? Maybe I'm considered sensitive to it, but I tried a similar monitor (not from LG) years back and immediately packed it back up. The amount of black outline/blur on any movement was unreal, so I went back to IPS. I'm looking for something exactly like this, but I was hoping for IPS...I'd pull the trigger if I had confidence that this doesn't have any noticeable ghosting but I'm probably being too hopeful.

300nits on this vs 400nits on monoprice, plus they have 1 year replacement for any dead pixel which is nice. But this lg does have speakers which monoprice doesn't.

Great deal, thanks. Bought once since I've been on the lookout for another ultrawide. Needed a spare for the extra room and in case my current cheap one dies. The closest in price I've seen to this is $250~ or so and that's for less reputable brands than LG.

The Dark Matter for sure. Anyone saying the LG is just saying so because they're a more well known brand and haven't seen both monitors. The Monoprice is far superior for gaming. This LG has really bad ghosting, while the Samsung panel in the Dark Matter is one of the better VA panels that mitigate ghosting/smearing. The Dark Matter also gets brighter, has a higher contrast ratio, better color, and much better response times. The Monoprice has a Quantum Dot Samsung panel, while this LG has a lower end panel. People forget that every manufacturer makes bottom of the barrel panels, top of the line panels, and everything in between. This is one of LG's low end VA panels. It's still a good price for what it is, but I'd swing for the Dark Matter if you can afford to spend the extra $60.

Christ I literally just bought another monitor last hour, and another 2 days ago, making this the 3rd monitor for this Prime / Fantastech week. Someone stop me.

I concur, there's a reason this one is 50 less than the ultragear model with similar specs https://www.amazon.com/LG-UltraGe...137&sr=1-5
