I'm sure the RC is probably great and nice to have, but you're exaggerating things.
My phone never overheats, the dongle never gets knocked out, my phone's battery is barely if any affected, my phone case isn't an issue ever, and you shouldn't be taking any phone calls while piloting a drone anyways.
These all sound like isolated personal issues. I've had hundreds of flights and don't have these complaints.
The N1 is barely any smaller. I've had both and never once have I ever thought, "Wow, I sure wish I didn't have this RC controller on me, I totally wish I had the 1/2" smaller N1 in my bag instead".
Have you ever used the RC? It is worth every penny over the N1.
I just got a Mavic 3 Classic and I'll likely be keeping the Mini 3 Pro as a backup. But as far as the Mini 3 Pro, for the price, the size, the ease of use, it's the best drone on the market. Very easy to use if you're a beginner but still has some Pro-level features. Make sure you take the photos in RAW and switch the video to D-Log to get the most out of your flights.
If you want to see what the drone can really do, my Instagram is @clarkefishing and almost all of the photos/videos there were shot with the Mini 3 Pro, including that big panorama I just posted.
If you have any questions about this drone, feel free, I'll try to answer!

As others noted, you need the TRUST certificate - and keep it on your when you fly, because you can apparently be asked for it by law enforcement at any time. And if you're doing it for money, you need a different certificate -- that includes making videos and posting them on YouTube if you've monetized the channel, so keep that in mind. I don't know how much they enforce it, but have seen many videos from people making that distinction.

Just a FYI the case's interior foam will be Pick n Pluck. You'll have to remove what foam you don't need to fit your drone and accessories in the case. They are durable and very affordable vs. custom cases you'd see on Amazon/eBay.

Also Harbor Freight is good, but sometimes even better deals & cases at Monoprice.
I got two huge rolling cases for $70 shipped each, better quality and cheaper than HF.

Any small to meduim camera bag will be a good solution because they are cushioned and have compartments and are designed to protect electronics.
I repurposed a small to medium camera bag I had sitting around that I was tight for my Nikon with one lens and one body. It easily holds my Mini 3 pro, 2 addtl batteries and Controller, extra props and screw driver.
The prop screws on the Mini 3 Pro are pretty small, use a good a decent screw driver with the right size bit.
If you don't have one laying around,
