I make my.own pods by 1) saving the plastic seed cage from the original aerogarden pack, 2) buying a 50 pack of the brown sponges from Amazon or AliExpress for $10 3)using foil over the top instead of the sticker that the seed pods come with.

Amazon and AliExpress also sell full kits for pretty cheap. Then I just buy seeds from the garden shop or Etsy depending on how weird of seeds I want to grow.

Pretty good price for the harvest. Their regular prices are absurd but if you are willing to make your own seed pods, the aerogardens can be fun and cost effective at the sale prices.

I got in on the Macy's $40 harvest slim and I am enjoying it.

Bought one a few years ago, only a few pods grew, contacted CS and they sent new pods which had the same issue so I gave up, and yes I followed instructions and watered properly etc. Should've contacted them again.

Edit: I should clarify that all sprouted but not all grew enough to be harvested, some were only for a week or so. I even trimmed the fastest growing ones after planning according to their guide. It is what it is, think I'll try the $20 grow kit and use seeds I acquire myself.

Some are luck of the draw, I think, others are more systemic: they pulled cilantro because too many customers didn't have the needed (cool) growing conditions, they said. Shame as I really wanted that one.

My aerogarden farms have treated me very well, but when it comes to these smaller units you can find a better deal than this price for the Harvest. This iDoo for example: https://a.co/d/1IzUz1u. Larger water capacity (3L vs ~2.4L) and a similar strength LED panel for $10 less. I'd just cover the tiny window where you can gauge water level as that invites algae growth which is no bueno. I'm grabbing this iDoo so I can move a determinate cherry tomato plant into its own machine since my Black Krims are taking over.
