I have the 750 from a price mistake (paid $241 a year ago) and think it's very nice. I only make shakes and smoothies so I can't comment on every preset but I haven't had any issues with anything Vitamix. It's definitely more powerful than 5200 but I don't know if it's enough to justify the extra cost especially at full price compared to this.

Aren't all blenders self cleaning with a drop of soap and water? Well that is what I have always done anyway…

Is this "self-cleaning" just because you can put soap and water in it and turn it on to clean? Or is there something else that makes it self cleaning? I've cleaned my old Vitamix that way for years - just didn't know why it was being marketed as self-cleaning.
