These are dual rank memory but the comment section on Amazon is full of many miss informed individuals saying dual rank memory is better. Actually single rank memory is quite a bit faster. Linus tech tips did a video on how memory companies are quietly making inferior memory chips that can lose upto 20% in performance

I have heard AMD processors work more efficiently with dual-rank but have done no testing for myself. I just bought a set of single rank Kingston Fury Impact ram for my G15 Advantage and while the performance is night and day compared to the stock ram, I'm not getting the numbers the guys online using the dual rank version of my ram are getting.

If this doesn't seem like a hot deal, remember that Apple charges $400 to go from 16 GB of RAM to 32 GB of RAM in their 16" Macbook Pro right now. This is basically 90% off according to Apple. Don't buy this to install into your MBP because Apple solders the memory on so that you can't upgrade or repair your computer.

Thanks for the reply. I paid this much for 16gb only 6 months ago and seems a great deal, but alas the 16gb is plenty for my laptop.
