I've been looking for the S version of this which mainly has wifi enabled features. Anyone with a S model comment if it's worth the extra bucks?

Honestly I don't even use the Wi-Fi feature much nowadays. When I got it, used it for a couple months and forgot about lol

I have the S and the app is so bad I don't enable wifi. Excellent unit with or without wifi.

I think coway is way too expensive.

If you buy 2x winix 5500 units, that's $240, you get 2 motors, and 2 filters. 480 CADR

This coway, it's $370, you get 1 motor, and 2 filters. 320 CADR

And each coway filter is actually slightly smaller than the winix 55 units.

Unless you guys can confirm the build quality is significantly superior to winix somehow, I don't see the merit objectively.

The Coway on my 300 is massive... I have a single winix 5500 and it's 376 sqft, the motor is like the thickness of the entire 5500 machine.

So you have look at airflow.

Depends how much extra..

I actually got the 300s.. and the app sucks... The reviews are terrible for the app too... I don't think it's worth the few extra bucks when it's so unreliable.

Recently bought this and absolutely love it. Use it for larger areas and it moves a lot of air and does a great job, looks slick too. Filters last a while too.

I dont have the 400S, but I have a few Coway 250S units. I sometimes use the wifi connectivity to check the air quality in the various rooms/floors (it also shows the historical data), but I do use it daily for the online scheduler.

If you put these in Smart mode, they'll actually turn off after a certain amount of time of low AQI. With the scheduler, I force it turn on at night (11PM-9AM), and the middle of day (12PM-4PM) to a constant setting (just below the highest setting.) Outside of those times, its running in Smart mode (which is basically low fan mode or never.) I wish there were a way to set the Smart mode to have a minimum speed rating (I dont like that it turns off.)

Glad I bought it. It's now $500 now. It's well worth the $400 I paid.
