Agree that these are a pain to clean, but they absolutely pull more out of the carpet than a spray bottle and old towels.

Soooo much easier to spot treat with spray bottle, water & old towels. This is way to labor intensive to use & clean afterwards.

Agree that these are a pain to clean, but they absolutely pull more out of the carpet than a spray bottle and old towels.

Agreed 1000%, just spot treated anything from dog piss stains to kid vomit stains and much much more and it did a great job.

Great for spot cleaning, and does way better than regular foam carpet cleaners and a paper towel. However, these little ones don't steam up like the larger units that you rent, so you might still end up with slight stains depending on what is set in the carpet. However, it is great to at least get you buy until you rent the larger unit (or find it on discount).

I have one but would highly recommend buying one that heats the water. With these you have to use hot water from the tap and it cools down eventually. They're pretty annoying to use

Yeah, I have a couple foam cleaners that have oxy clean, and it did alright, but not as good as one of these spot cleaners. I think these extract far more than you could get with cleaner + paper towels. I'll even use the foam cleaner stuff along with this thing and just avoid the paper towels altogether.

I have the version of this with the water heater, and it doesn't really heat the water, if you put very hot water in it, it will kinda keep it hot. Overall agree with others, this is not a ez spill cleanup device. We had much better luck with a wet/dry hand vac (dust buster size) and a bottle of water/carpet cleaner.

agreed. does a very good job getting cat vomit off/out of upholstery, carpets, etc. but it is impossible to fully clean the unit. the head always has gunk in it, even if you run water through it immediately after. the hose / connection point to the "dirty" collection bin can get nasty if you dont run the unit using the cap after each use.

but overall far easier / better than spray + paper towels
