When I have used bluetooth ones in the past, it takes a while to connect to my phone. I have used different phones and different bluetooth ODBC readers.

A cracked copy of Torque Pro? Do you get any additional functionality? Or are you just "saving" $4.95?

These connect a lot faster and better than those cheap Bluetooth adapters. I can't speak for the expensive ones.

Have had this a few years and it reads and deletes codes gives you real time diagnostics. It's a great tool for just 12 bucks.

Mine's a cheapo and most of my cars are obd1 or barely obd2, so most functions don't even apply. In for 1 for the speed alone though.

There was an option for 7% back on my Chase card if I chose a much later ship date. I'm assuming that means 7% instead of 5%. Not much, but 2% is 2% on something I don't need right away.

Also, I have a cheap Tacklife BT dongle and use the DashCmd app, which works well. I use it for one of my cars; I use a Cobb AccessPort for my turbo Subie. The Tacklife BT dongle is no longer available.

This will be to more quickly check other vehicles. Plus I just want it lol.

does this thing help detect if fuse dies?

On my Nissan, in-cabin and trunk lights stopped coming on and per google search it tells me that I've a dead fuse but not sure which thought. Trying to see if this will be any helpful. Any expert advice?

Open your fuse box in your car, usually on top or inside the fuse box will have a diagram, (if you can't figure out which fuse it is) Google your symptom and someone will tell you which fuse is the correct one. Or simply first try replacing the bulb first. Could just be a dead bulb. If your interior light fuse is blowing, it could be a sign of other issues

No it won't tell you a fuse is bad. It may tell you if a module is bad.

Thanks! I'm noob at fixing cars, but will try that out.

All bulbs are off which means it's fuse not the bulb. I am trying to figure out which fuse, its model number and location in the car to replace.

OBD tool is not going to track down a bad fuse for you, but good news is that your car's manual or google should be able to give you a full breakdown of your fuse box(es) to get you in the right location. My 20 second google results say you should look for one called "room lamp" and replace it.

Good find. I too have a Bluetooth one and have been looking for a hardwired one that is hopefully quicker and easier to use

Does it erase the check engine light too? Or just reads the code?

There's lots of knock offs of the OG ELM327 chip inside these things. They're cheap s*** and are very iffy during operation, dont support all operations. It's tough to find the real deal on Amazon, I even ran across some counterfeit ELM readers that were supposedly the real deal but slightly cheaper. The knock offs work ok for occasional use like clearing codes, but if you ever get into FORscan and stuff like that you're SOL. I have both, a cheap one to keep in the glove box of the old beater and a real module with USB cable in the garage for real work.
