I have had mine for 4 years or so, two garage doors. Even brought it from one house to another when I moved. Still works just fine.

If you're looking at the Cam, just be aware there is a video subscription fee. My garage opener has the camera integrated in there, so I don't really use that camera nor do I pay the fee. You can watch a live feed for free, so if I want to verify my garage is closed, I can check.

The video sub fee is for notifications for motion, etc.

Can I use this if I already have a MyQ opener? Mine sucks with wifi. Always disconnects.

Never mind-It is not intended for use with openers in which the photoelectric sensors located near the bottom of the garage door change power mode (e.g., lights on the sensors turn off after the door is closed), or any Chamberlain Group opener with a yellow learn button manufactured between 2010 and 2021, or any Linear opener.

These buggers stop working after 6-8 months. I'm on my 2nd one and it is no longer responding to open/close commands from the app.

Costs more but this is the answer. Connects to modem/router. No wifi connection involved

I installed it on my garage door.. it doesn't work with Google Home or Alexa. I have to use their proprietary app.

For $20 this is a game changer for those of us with old garage openers. The app is only so so and I still have my old remotes, but being able to look at your phone to see if you forgot to close it alone is worth the price. I've had mine for just over a year.
