This is kinda expensive for a IPQ40XX based router. its not even going to be able to handle 500mbs and if you use it for QOS you are talkin around 250mbs...
This is meant to be slow and just pop into your hotel and fire up wireguard. Its not meant to be a "good" home router.
The other benefit these provide is an easily-configurable way to extend or rebroadcast internet from:
Wireless network (as a repeater/extender)
Wired network
4g USB dongle
phone tethering via USB connection
They can also act as an access point, and not perform any DHCP or routing
It's a great router for the form factor and features to live in a travel bag, for those work or vacation times when the wifi isn't quite the range or speed you need. I have the Opal (the $40 model) and it's hit the spot. They are also USB-C powered so you can run them off a battery pack if necessary. Great flexible travel router with an assortment of easy-to-configure modes and use cases to get you through nearly any scenario.
This is great deal! I'm currently using an OpenWRT router I built from a Raspberry Pi 4 board (I also added the AdGuard Home) for 2 years now and the Raspberry Pi 4 board alone is over $100. Works great and was an awesome learning experience but this supposedly is plug-n-play.

You mentioned that it is kinda expensive for a IPQ40XX router, could you give some recommendations on some routers that are around this size and have the same features that are cheaper?

ASUS RT-AX1800S for the same price. Then you get AX and a 1.5ghz quad core vs 750mhz IPQ40XX dual core 4 thread.
The Gl is a nice travel router, im just saying dont use it as your main.
