Okay, I actually bought one of these when it previously dropped to $1k. I think vs other scooters in this segment, it's a relative bargain at this price for the quality of the scooter. This is not a toy like many of the sub $600 scooters. If anyone else owns one of these, please chime in...

    You're not getting the P100 @ $1k unless you're buying it out of some dude's car trunk. Also, what do you mean "it's been this price a few times?" It was this price once - see the chart. That's when I bought it. Right after I bought a P65, it jumped up to $1500, which is 50% price increase.

    By all means, don't buy and wait for a $1k P100 that will never come, but to say this isn't a good deal is ridiculous.

    I'm a big electric scooter fan but I don't see the need for this over a Max unless you live in a very hilly area or you're very fat. It's the same form factor but weighs almost 50% more than the Max. That pic of the person walking with it in one hand at their side is laughable.

    The G65 is at a different level than the Max - I'd hazard a guess you've never ridden on a G65 or G100. Also, the avg male weight in the US is 197.9 lbs according to Google/Healthline.com. So, define "fat," bro. And one final point, the G65 is not light, but I have no problem carrying it with one hand when it's in its portable/folded position.

    Please post a video of yourself walking and carrying the scooter folded at your side in one hand. I'd like to see your technique.

    That's a lot of work, and I'm not putting a pic of me on SD... I'd prefer to be anon. That said, the damn thing is parked in my Living Room right now, so I have to carry it out the door (one hand opens the door, the other carries the scooter). Yeah, it's a big boy and heavy, but if you go to the gym and use more than just the treadmill -- you'll probably be able to carry 65 lbs with one arm, too....

    Moving it outside your front door is not the same with walking around with it. Have you ever seen anyone walking around holding a scooter like that pic? Even with a lighter scooter people don't hold them like that.

    You and I are discussing 2 difft things, then. No, this isn't something you'd carry around on the subway - but - you can carry the G65 short distances quite easily. The pic in the OP you're referring to looks like somebody that maybe carried it down to the beach... you can do that. It's heavy, but it's more than do-able if you don't want to leave your $1500 scooter parked somewhere where you can't monitor it. I'm not arguing that this thing is "ultra portable." That would be silly - it's about 65 lbs.

    I mentioned the pic in my first post. Dude is wearing long pants, a hoodie, a jean jacket over the hoodie, and a backpack. Looks more like commuting than going to the beach right? He's casually holding a 65 lb scooter by the stem at his side with one hand, even though almost all the weight is in the base. It can be done but it's a misleading picture. The average american male at 5'9" and 197lbs is overweight and probably can't do this.

    Okay, I guess that's at least somewhat fair - the pic can be misleading, yes. The point I'd make, tho, is that (unlike some of the very heavy premium scooters) - you CAN at least carry this one short distances.
