The Tidy Cat LX size Breeze liter box is $36.32 for Prime Day, which is the next lowest price since Target had it last year for $33.50. It sold out at Target and the price everywhere seems to have shot up to $60-$80. We were considering picking up one or two at Amazon Japan when we go on vacation because the same item works out around $35 which is much cheaper than US Amazon's regular $65+ price. But for this Prime day price, we don't have to check it and lug it back!
I actually bought one last night/early am when Prime day started and it was slightly higher at $38, which is still a good price. Noticed that they were o/s this morning and later this evening it was back and for slightly less at $36.32 and bought another one.
Figured that I would just get two now at the lower prices and keep one as a spare/back up. We currently have two XL Breeze boxes and one regular/small size that the cats seem to like to kick out the pine pellets or sometimes the high achiever over shoots the sides. So we like these XL boxes since they're much taller and also large enough for the big girl (looks part Maine Coon) to comfortably turn around in and use.
If you've got small cats, the regular Breeze boxes probably would work ok and those are also on Prime Day sale.
Yes, you can use the inexpensive pine pellets (buy from supply stores like Tractor, 40 lbs for $8 or less) and the regular (and much cheaper) size puppy pads instead of the small but expensive Breeze liners.
