For those who still wouldn't spend so much on a mic or where this is still out of reach, as a heads up, the Monoprice copy of this unit (which is also supercardioid) — is a fantastic mic, and I got mine for about $53 shipped on their last sale… it includes a hard case and the mic itself is super heavy duty, sounds fantastic for my voice and is a joy to use.
