can you replace an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with a Ryzen 7 7700 on the same MB?
Sorry, only used Intel up till now and don't wanna go to PC part picker

Nope 5000 series is AM4 socket, 7000 series is AM5, so you'd need a new motherboard as well as memory since you'll need ddr5

I believe you would need a new MB. 5600 is an AM4 socket and 7700 is AM5 (newest gen)

Anyone know if this comes with Starfield? Seems like it does from other retailers. Or is that why it's discounted because it doesn't come with the code?

I was browsing their other deals and one of them specifically mentioned including the game, but this one does not. Some people have also mentioned previous deals that buying either a GPU or CPU and they got a free game code even though the listing didn't mention it.

You're gonna need a better cpu cooler. Anyone else agree?

Being only a 65W CPU, the included cooler will be fine. The fan curve default can result in some annoying noise, but is easily tuned to avoid that. You can safely run it with the included cooler for as long as you want, and always reserve buying a better cooler for sometime down the road.

Wow this is slick for a 8 core Zen 4 chip. The non-x 65w parts are easy to cool. The included cooler should be fine. Good time to build a PC with how good parts are going for.

$100 6000 CL 30
$90 2TB SN850X
$100 850W
$800 7900 XTX

Agreed, I was planning a SFF build around a lower TDP cpu when I came across this deal and thought I'd share.

Any mobo recommendations?
Is running these things with 4 DIMMS still effect memory speeds?
Any good 64 GB mem 2 DIMM deals?

Contemplating this vs Microcenter bundle with mobo/ram

I'm building a SFF as well. Have you found any good (and affordable) AM5 ITX motherboards? The more I read, the more I'm inclined to stay with AM4 for an ITX build. But obviously that's not great for upgradeability in the future.....

There are zero affordable AM5 ITX boards, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with building and AM4 itx build.

I have a ticket open with both Antonline and AMD to try and get a definitive answer on this, hopefully they respond soon. Will likely pull the trigger on this and return it if it doesn't work out, or keep if it does.

So true. My builds have been strictly ITX for many years. For AM5 I went with a micro ATX board. AM5 ITX board prices are offensively high, I can't support that.
