Knipex makes the best pliers there are. Better than Snap-On, even.
Their pliers are worlds better for automotive work. I've had so many pliers that slip and won't grip and come loose... Knipex have extremely hard teeth that hold. It makes the work so much easier and less frustrating, and less damage on whatever you're working on.

You might think that if you have the correct size wrenches and sockets, you won't need pliers, but you do, especially for those spring-loaded hose clamps they use on so many cars these days.

I can't really speak for their needle nose and their cutters... I'm sure they're also excellent, and this four piece set would make a fantastic gift for anyone who does auto work or similar, professionally or as a home mechanic.
A picture might help.
I have the needle nose and the cutters, they're fantastic. Part of me wishes I didn't have them so I could feel good about buying this set!

one surprise with the needle nose pliers is the jaws don't actually make contact when closed. This is technically the "correct" way to make them and I'm sure offers benefits versus cheaper options.

I was using pliers to grip thin foil packaging and so they didn't work for that use case.

This seems like a good deal and would probably complete my knipex/wrench collection. Especially since most are 30-40 a piece on a good price.

Hmm. Just checked mine. Easily gripped a piece of paper at the nose. Right near the cutting bit lower on the head there's a small gap, but definitely gripping super thin things at the tip.

You have to apply pressure to grip thin stuff. However that doesn't do well with fragile material. Would have to get tweezers or long forceps for that use case most likely.

Decent deal (and great set) if you need all 4 of these.. but @ ~$24/ea, several of these can be bought individually around that price (particularly the linesmans and the needle nose).

Their Pliers Wrench models are great for holding thin stuff (especially if you have some soft jaws for them)

Might have to pick these up to start my Knipex tool collection.

Been looking for a deal on their cobra pliers as well…

I pretty much said the exact same thing.

I use their pliers for fishing and have the angled pliers (I find the angle makes it 10x easier to remove the hook) but they don't have the cutters. I've sent a hook through my finger before and not having a cutter is a problem, so it makes it easy to want to have the cutter around for that situation.
I'm not sure how much use the other pieces will get, but having them in the arsenal is going to make me happy when I do need them.

Reps, OP.

Knipex cutters are on par with their excellent pliers. Klein and Knipex trade blows for overall quality, depending on the particular pliers/cutters, but the only place I'd personally choose Klein over Knipex is with the needlenose, where Klein's are generally stronger and more rigid. But you can't go wrong with any of these from Knipex or Klein, and yes they absolutely beat Snap-On and everything else.

I concur. I own their cobra and pipe wrenches regular and comfort grip. They get used and loaned out all the time. It only takes one loan and usually people end up ordering them as well.

I borrowed the cobra pliers from a friend when I was in a pinch with an automotive issue and they saved me. Started my addiction then.
