Lenovo isn't manipulating the inventory count. On certain versions of eBay, such as the eBay app, it'll appear as only two units available because the listing has a limitation of two per buyer.

I fixed my yoga with epoxy. It's way stronger than it ever was now. I might just epoxy the hinges down on this pos laptop before they break. If you look at them it's no wonder they do... Just two little plastic welds hold them to the back cover. It's designed to fail.

for $199 is this not super slick? am I missing something?
Use your favorite search engine of choice, and look up "Ideapad Flex 5 hinge issues".

Specs wise, it's a fantastic deal. But those hinges...

Absolutely. I'm replacing a yoga that broke on its hinge. I learned my lesson though. It's not a daily use laptop. I bought this to keep in my travel / service backpack. So I don't have to bring my nice legion. I never game when I travel, but still need a laptop for basic stuff.

At this price point, it's probably worth the risk of hinge failure and limited RAM, but everybody should understand why this model with these specs is selling at this price point.

You are rolling the dice on this having any longevity. The hinges are a serious design flaw.

How does this compare to the other Asus Acer Gateway laptops on Slickdeals with 16GB/512GB for about $300? Need a basic but reliable laptop for most everyday tasks.

Title says 256GB ssd while description says 512GB. I guess its going to be 256GB only
Yea, it's 256GB. I bought one back in May and when I contacted them to ask about the discrepancy and if I could get what was advertised they basically just said "Sorry, not sure why it says 512 but we don't have any with 512 we could replace it with". Seems like 2 months should have been more than enough time to fix their listing...

Photos also show a backlit keyboard, which it does not have either.

Is Ram expandable
Nope. Convertibles are often soldered, but devices with LPDDR4/5 always soldered.
