I was wondering what gen it was so I posted the answer above. Seems like a decent price and well reviewed. If Newegg shipped via USPS I would grab one.

Gen 4 with gen 3 speed only.
This is the main reason why the specs were not included in the description.
I'm waiting for a post saying this stick runs cold.
LoL

Kind if funny we are at the point of complaining about 1TB nvme drives for $35 when 1TB HDDs are still more than that

What are you talking about slow? Slow compared to what? A "faster" one? Oh come on man....

I consider it "slow" when you compare similar such as the $50 sn850x nvme deal 7300/6350:600TBW or the $41 mp44l team group 5000/4500:600TBW to this $35 3500/3000:400TBW, It would help to have the specs in the title was the intended feedback for OP

FYI - lack of DRAM doesn't mean much to most users with NVMe SSDs. This keeps being mentioned due to the days of SATA SSDs where it mattered more. It depends on the drive, but some of the fastest NVMe drives today are affordable DRAMless drives like the new WD Blue SN580 or Samsung 980 (non pro). The reviews and benchmarks have those SSDs ranking near some of the best ones in their categories and are pretty affordable.

For reference: https://www.techpowerup.com/revie...n580-1-tb/
Check out the huge SLC cache btw. 341GB on a 1 TB drive is more than I'd personally use already.

Lol those are more expensive for a reason ("faster"). But this is plenty "fast" for most usecases.

People saying this drive is slow... yes, it's kind of "slow" for a Gen 4 drive, but it's faster than most Gen 3 drives at this price point. Use this on a Gen 3 slot and you'll get close to max performance from the slot, around 3000-3500 depending on your platform's capability. There are comparisons on YouTube if you want to see this in action.

At least one salty person is disliking every comment, even just the specs. I bet they're fun at parties.
