dont make the mistake that many of us made in the past of stock piling these batteries as they will leak after about a year.

Free is not worth it for batteries that are pretty much guaranteed to leak and possibly ruin the device they're being used in.

It's not really free. Why. Because you get sucked in to use your rewards and you end up buying another item at a premium.

Odd when i vote item down it stays at +5 but if i change vote to + it goes up to +7 ??
Someone probably upvoted and then your downvote cancelled it out so it stayed at +5.

In regard to changing your downvote to upvote and the number changing by 2…math is hard for some people.

thanks for the tip. fortunately for me my batteries get used up by the kids pretty quickly. A 40 pack of AA last me about 2-4 months, sometimes longer or shorter.

As others suggested I've pricematched with Walmart.

But the clerk at a cash register tried to assure me that I absolutely will not get my 100% Back in Bonus Rewards if I do pricematching.

Anyone has experience with pricematching an item and still getting the 100% Back in Bonus Rewards?

Same here. Never leaks. Live in a dryer environment , not sure that matters.
I buy them, and use the rewards to pay for the next time I buy their batteries and get another reward. rinse and repeat.

How do you manage to get rewards back when paying with rewards when OD changed their rewards policy over 5 years ago to prevent rolling?
He/she doesn't.
Only OffficeMax allowed the rollovers. Since the merger/buyout no more...that was 2013.
And the Duracells LEAK even stored in a climate controlled building.

All brands of batteries leak.
Why do these seem to leak faster / more?

If you're in Texas, I bought these 16 packs of Duracells for $5.xx yesterday after an in-store coupon at HEB.

While the USPS says in official statements they go after counterfeiters (what else do you expect them to say), the reality is they don't.

From the NY Post in 2010, "

But the counterfeiters apparently don't have much to worry about.
Detecting fake 44-cent stamps is way down on the list of things overworked Postal inspectors are concerned about.
"They'll crack down more on those tending to be higher quantity mailers," said a Postal source, and not folks trying to slip an envelope or two through without paying.
Helping the counterfeiters even more is the fact that the number of Postal inspectors is way down and things like suspicious packages are much higher in priority.
And although counterfeiting (and even using) fake stamps is a federal offense, it is not the sort of crime that gets prosecutors' hearts racing."

https://nypost.com/2010/10/28/cheap-tricks-3/

And in 2018, another NY Post writer tried to warn the USPS about a counterfeit stamp operation and the Post Office wasn't interested (see link below). To quote the USPS:

"Very interesting, the inspectors said. "But what would you like us to do? We can't stop the mail machines every time we detect a fake," they said."

https://nypost.com/2018/05/16/i-t...operation/

So to point #1, if the stamps you get on ebay are counterfeit, the USPS will do nothing about it (maybe if it looks like your 2 year old drew the stamp by hand, they might actually return it). Do a search on the internet, you will be hard pressed to find anyone telling you a mail they sent got returned because the stamp was counterfeit.

As to your point #2, the post office does not make money, they lose money every year and continue to lose money. They have a dying business in first class mail, virtually the only people who mail anything any more are elderly people - most people under the age of 40 are lucky if they mail 2 or 3 letters a year. Even in the package business, they get crushed by FedEx and UPS. The only time USPS is cheaper is for packages that weigh very little or are going short distances. Why do you think virtually all packages that you get from major companies like Macy's or Best Buy come by UPS or FedEx?
sounds like you are posting something from under the basement.

mass mailing business here. we mail hundred of thousand mails everyday. not just some grandmas trying to lick some stamps. have you noticed how many junk mails you are receiving everyday from us?

I have been selling on ebay form over 20 years, and have shipped over 10,000 packages during that time. I am very proficient in the shipping business.

Are there businesses that still do mass mailings and junk mail? Sure. But the majority of businesses do not. I get 3 pieces of junk mail from Optimum per week (although I'm not sure why they think if someone didn't respond to the first 1000 mailings they sent out , the next 1000 will be any different.) And your mass mailings of junk mail are not going to keep the post office alive.

I PM every time and get the rewards.. I would do the online survey. They send me one to my rewards email address a day or two later. Mention that the employee was offering inaccurate information. The whole store will get updated on the procedure.
