Wonder why the default price for the 128 is so high? 256g much better price/g. In for two 256g, thanks op!

Browsing through SD history, it looks like the 64 GB has been regularly on sale for $8 and the 128 GB for about this price. The 256 GB has regular been on sale for around $24, so this offer looks like a good deal.

Most day to day flash drive uses I don't need more than about 4GB. I buy whatever's cheap because I tend to just hand those out.

THESE however make awesome Ventoy drives. If you need a multi-OS installer and utility boot drive, these are solid, the older ones have survived in my pocket for years, and that's doing something.

ALSO, if you install Debian with defaults chosing "separate /home parition" then you go back and mount that partion at /home/partimag and chown partimage -R to users:users they make a great Clonezilla drive.

How good is this whistle? Good enough to be used by an official referee?

Amazon feedback seems to say 25MB/s write for 64GB stick and around 40MB/s for 256GB version. Read speed never reached 400MB. More like 150 MB it seems

Had 2 of these die on me in one year. Performance was good when it worked, but beware of trying to file a warranty claim with Samsung on a flash drive.

From Amazon or Samsung.com? And anyone know if these suffer the usual counterfeit issues? I have a handful of these at different sizes without a single failure, yet.....but they're all under a year old. Just curious.

I use this as my emulator drive when I am transferring ROMs to my steam deck so having the extra space is nice since some game files get a little large. I know the design is polarizing but I like it and the feel of it.

The design is annoying to me since I do tend to leave it hanging out of a USB port with keys/tools on it. It's a horrible design for that, but the drive itself is solid.

Download "Samsung Memory Card / UFD Authentication Utility" from the https://semiconductor.samsung.com/ website.

You can run that utility against your Samsung BAR USB drives to check if they are real or counterfeit.

I would plug it in to the back of my Xbox and I liked the flare because it was easier to grab without looking. If I kept it plugged in to the front of a device, I totally get that. Especially with my kids not paying attention...😱
