24 pencils are cheaper elsewhere. Just Google 24 colored pencils
The metal tin is worth the difference to hold up better in backpacks.
It's an illusion, it just adds weight
Yeah man, seeing this really brought back memories of getting new art/school supplies. Opening the fresh tin, smelling the brand new pencils. Getting to use them once in pristine condition…
Then the next time you want to use them there's five missing, two pinks, a green from a different brand, a regular pencil, and the tin is warped and will only snap in on one corner.

All colored pencils are not created equal. Something like prismacolor are artist quality, much softer and can be easily blended or shaded. Something like crayola is meant for kid's coloring books.
These probably land somewhere in the middle.

My wife has the 48 pencil set from Amazon and I would put them closer to Crayola than Prismacolor but definitely a solid set. Considering Prismacolors are almost $20 for a 24 pack and these are less than $5, you aren't getting ripped off at all.
