Had to get this, even though I usually use the reciprocating for trimming larger branches. I'm getting too lazy in my older age.

These things are impressive. They cut inch thick branches in less than a second. They also cut fan palm leaves with ease, which the reciprocating saws have a hard time cutting cleanly. They are intimidating to use, especially after seeing how easy they chop finger size branches.

I don't get this tool. There is nothing difficult about using a pair of $15 loppers.
It makes you much more efficient especially if you have a lot to cut. Since you can use it with one hand the other hand is free to grab what you are cutting.

LOVE THIS !! My Yard maintenance cheated and left a bunch of branches / debris hidden in a section of my yard. if had to dispose it in its original shape, it would have taken me 10=15 weeks in stuffing into the yard debris garbage bin. I was able to cut into 6"-10" small pieces and got rid it in two bins.... HUGE LIFE SAVER!!! Get it!!!

Where can I get a pole mounted version of these? Or better yet, an adapter that puts it on a pole.

We love ours! Helped a lot cutting up branches after the freeze last year here in central Texas. My wife and I use them a lot. Makes cutting branches up to 1-1/2" diameter a breeze, you can cut up to about a 2" diameter branch, but you may have to hit it a couple of times to get through a 2" diameter branch. Get them they are awesome!

Agreed, makes large amounts branches super easy. So much better than $15 pruners.

I immediately thought the same thing on first look. I dunno what it is but I feel like I've already chopped my index finger off in a past life with this thing.

This thing saves so much time, was not expecting such. Used to use one of those milwaukee m12 mini reciprocating saws on tree branches 1-1.5" thick. This thing cuts them in ~1 second, no need to apply constant pressure like you would with a saw, doesnt shake off dead leaves from the branch you're cutting, and your other hand is free to hold said branch then toss it. If mine ever breaks, 100% buying another.

This turned out to be one of my favorite tools. Of course there's cheaper alternatives. You can use a screwdriver instead of a drill but you can really trim up some bushes or limbs with this thing in seconds. I just wish there was a pole extension for it
