Samsung warranty is a scam.

I have been using Samsung for years. I have an S22Ultra, Watch 4, and buds. My wife has a S22.

Have you ever tried warranty service? Nightmare.
The S22 has a defect where in sound is distorted coming down from the mountains. Removing the sim card releases the pressure. Obviously not what I expect especially for a flagship.
They sent us to best buy twice. Nothing they could find. Here us the kicker.
To get warranty service you have to mail in your phone. Problem is you don't have a phone as they will not supply loaner phones.
Their other suggestion was to buy an upgrade.

To be fair, I don't think Apple provides a loaner if you have to ship your phone for service. Of course Apple has stores you can take them into for a quicker service but that's not always an option. I would suggest buying and keeping a cheap android backup phone. I purposely keep an older iPhone as my backup.

nefarious? Haha, it's the industry norm. You may want to move to an EU country where it's more consumer friendly by law.

File a complaint with BBB and I guarantee they'll provide you with a quick and proper resolution. I couldn't get resolutions on two issues (S21 Ultra in 2021, Bespoke Refrigerator in 2023) no matter who I talked to on Samsung. Once I filed BBB complaints, they put me in contact with an escalated Tier III representative and solved my issues (with a more than reasonable resolution) in both instances with a 15 to 20 minute phone call.

Wow, how hard is it to figure out the panel technology on this screen. Even Samsung's own website does not explicitly have it on the spec sheet. That only means one thing. It's VA LCD. According to B&H. SMH, you definitely know they aren't proud of this by excluding such crucial information. I'm just a tad bit annoyed at why tf it was such a hassle to find out. Though it is feature rich. Kinda like the jack of all trades but definitely master of none.
