My screenshot shows round trip bus fare for $2 between a couple of East Coast cities. I wasn't able to find any for West Coast but hey, your dates may qualify.

Good luck. Every time I go to pay, the transaction fails, and then the ticket price immediately shoots right up to $14.99.

In my opinion, looks like bait-n-switch, I can't get the transaction to completion, then the prices go up to what they usually sell.

I saw this bus in Milwaukee on the interstate. Bus was full both levels, driver had his elbow on the wheel and using his cell phone. 1 star drivers.

All joking aside they had one of these buses daily in Durham NC. The route would pickup every night (LATE) like clock work...unless the bus was full. If the bus was full the bus just skipped the stop completely and informed no one. I'd drive past and see a bunch of angry people with luggage just standing around confused waiting for a bus that was never coming. This wonderful system made the news once or twice. That was about a decade ago so hopefully things have improved.
