This is the good stuff. The gel has les risk of blowing back in your face, or contaminating the whole area when in closer quarters.

I think many self defense experts would say that spray is worse because it incapacitates the attacker and YOU as well, especially in closed spaces or windy situations (as I stated before). But rather than debate here are expert references.

Anyone have experience with these against dogs? Lots of idiots around here have no voice control, or any control of their dogs, and totally ignore leash laws. Sometimes, it's hard to tell if the owner is even around. Sad for the dogs to have to pay the price, but it's either spray or be attacked.

Many self defense experts prefer the spray over the gel. Easier to hit the target and it gets in the eyes and nose better than gel.

Yep that is why I carry this. Dog's whole world is their nose. Practice to get enough accuracy to spray them right on the nose and they will stop. Hitting the fur or feet may not stop them.
